Maehara Kouei Shouten 前原光榮商店, makers of Western style umbrellas, now in their 70th year of business, are famous for producing elegant, sturdy umbrellas made with excellent Japanese craftsmanship. As part of their 70th-year commemoration, they have collaborated with Neon Genesis Evangelion to create a series of umbrellas that fans will love.

According to their press release, just as "hope" and "regeneration" are important themes in Evangelion, Maehara Kouei Shoten felt inspired to "use Japanese craftsmanship to express hope and reinvent themselves" as well.

Characteristics

  • Attention to detail in all parts: Everything from the handle, shaft, cap, the coloring of the fabric, all of them have been carefully made by master craftsmen following the Evangelion theme.
  • 6 series with original packaging: Even the inside of the box is decorated in foil embossing and can be used as a display case.
  • Limited production: All six series are a limited production, with lot numbers engraved on the handle and the ring as well as the spec plate included in the box, guaranteeing that it is a one-of-a-kind original.
