Japan’s stunning natural scenes make for a breathtaking spring every year, whichever part of the country you’re in. But it seems Nara is aiming for the title of most magical place as these idyllic scenes look straight out of a painting or storybook. The photos captured the imagination of Twitter users when uploaded by photographer, @v0_0v______mk.

Nara is famous for the free roaming deer around the town. They can be seen attempting to enter shops and even halting traffic by just chilling out in the middle of the road. It’s easily accessible from Kyoto and other main cities making it a popular choice for tourists to visit. Spring is a particularly popular time for the chance to see the cherry blossoms and maybe even some baby deer!

These otherworldly photos were taken by the photographer while visiting Nara park on 3rd April this year and give you an impression of Nara's beauty. After uploading them on Twitter, the pictures inspired a flurry of comments expressing disbelief that this dreamy landscape is actually a real place.

The dappling sunlight through the trees and falling blossoms give the images a particularly delicate and dream-like feeling.

Check out the photographer's Twitter for more stunning photos. Cherry blossom season may already be over in most parts of Japan, but these images have us already excited to make travel plans for next year.
